If your PC is behind a firewall, you may need to open certain ports for any PC using ezFMD, so that the software can contact the NMVO and update your log files. Typically, this is done by someone familiar with the technical aspects of your network.

For those planning to install ezFMD behind a more comprehensive firewall, please download this PDF document or contact us for clarification of any local issue you may have.

If there is an issue at your location, you can bypass the proxy server to see if this resolves your problem.

This setting is found by selecting the Config tab (A). On the more recent versions of ezFMD, is is on a sub-screen found by clicking Settings (B):

Config settings

Enable (the tick should be visible) “Bypass Proxy” (C) and then click Save (D):

ezFMD pings 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) to test for Internet connectivity.
